Recently, I was chatting with a client who was questioning whether or not they should continue following their dream of owning a small business. As we spoke, I realized just how much self doubt was playing a role in their decision to walk away from their dream. The particular concerns they shared with me moved me so much that I was determined to offer them solace outside of just mere words, or encouragement to stay the course. I wanted them to have something they could hold on to for motivation when it seemed as if no one could understand.
As a first generation college graduate and small business owner, I learned early the importance of seeking motivation and encouragement outside of yourself. Below is a video I shared with my client, and I was delighted to hear back about how much lighter they felt after watching it. The speaker is R.C. Blakes. He discusses how people often find themselves in a rut of low self-confidence, how staying in this rut prevents you from fulfilling your purpose, and a solution on how to come out. Just thought I'd share this with you!
